Brief Description
The Annual Booking It Cross Country Run came about when Shay Glackin-Coley wanted to get a job to raise money for charity. Given the lack of good paying jobs for 10 year-olds and his love of running he decided to organize a charity run instead. Last year, 75 runners participated and we were able to provide scholarships for 2 primary school and 6 secondary school students.

All proceeds from the run go directly to student needs; no overhead or administrative costs are deducted by TLC or our Basotho partners.

Since 2007, Booking It participants have provided 2 Grade School & 22 High School Scholarships!

What Booking It supports
Booking It was born from a 2007 conversation between Shay Glackin-Coley (then 10) and his dad about how to raise money for a charitable cause. Given Shay’s love of running, they decided to organize a fund-raising run. Shay brought his ideas to the Tacoma Lesotho Connection (TLC) and together they developed the Booking It Run to provide scholarships to K-12 students affected by HIV/AIDS and poverty in Lesotho, Africa.
